REMEMBER OUR REVIVAL
We are a full-gospel, Bible believing church body who worships God in the spirit of truth and the beauty of Holiness.
Everyone is welcomed at Boyds Creek Church of God, regardless of church affiliation, creed or color, rich or poor.
"Give to God what is right ~ not what is left.''
Our beautiful mountain area was devastated by wildfires on November 28, 2016. We had a loss of fourteen lives, over 2400 homes and businesses destroyed or damaged, and 18,000 acres in the Great Smoky Mountains burned.
This tragedy has left a lasting impact on our community. Please continue to uphold Gatlinburg and surrounding area in prayer.
The response for donations has been overwhelming. The outpouring of love and support is unprecedented. Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
We would like to invite you to come worship with us. We are a church founded on the Holy Word of God. We believe everything written in the Holy Scriptures are the inspired Word of God, and that Bible is true, nothing added nor taken away,
We strive to see souls saved and born into the Kingdom of God. It is all about Jesus Christ and not ourselves. If you are unsaved and feel the Spirit of God dealing with you, then sincerely pray this sinners' prayer.
"Lord I realize I am a sinner. Unless I repent and believe on you as the only Savior of the world, I am a lost soul with no hope. Lord I ask you to cleanse me through your shed blood on Calvary. I believe in my heart you died for me and was raised up from the dead to reign forever as our Lord and Savior. Create in me a clean heart and a new life in you. I am sincere and humble as I ask forgiveness for all my sins. I believe you died for me, and by faith I believe and accept in my heart that I am now saved and a new man in Christ Jesus. In Jesus name, Amen"
If you sincerely prayed this prayer, congratulations! You have made the single most important decision in your life. I encourage you to get in the Word of God, and the wisdom and knowledge you need to continue your walk with God will be made known to you.

Some Boyds Creek Church of God History
In the past, our church was an almost exclusive African~American Church.
The church is built on land that was once part of a large plantation in the Historical Boyds Creek area. The large plantation house is still standing at the corner of Boyds Creek Hwy., and Cedar Springs Valley Rd.
Next to our church is the small school house that served grades 1-8 when schools in the county were segregated. It is one room with a cloakroom that served as a lunch room. Today it has been upgraded and serves our youth.
Several wars were fought in this area as our country experienced settling the frontier and later the Civil war. Our county and city is named for famed statesman John Sevier, who gained fame at the Alamo and was later the first governor of Tennessee. His childhood home is located not too far away on Gov. John Sevier Hwy.
Today we are a multi-racial, multi-cultural, multi-ethnic diverse church. As is stated in Acts 17:26, " .....from one blood were the nations of the earth established"
And through the one shed blood of Jesus Christ are all men truly saved, making us brothers and sisters in Christ.
We are a church body that first and foremost loves God.
We believe showing someone love is the first step to showing someone God, for God is love.
Come worship and fellowship with us at Boyds Creek Church of God and experience God's love in action.

Issac Dockery, an African~American artisan, along with African~American families of Sevierville, built New Salem Baptist Church in 1886. It is Sevierville's oldest surviving building and the county's oldest brick church and the only historic African~American church. Built as an Union Church for African~American congregations of all religious beliefs, it's name was changed in 1897 when it became New Salem Baptist Church. On July 24, 2003, the church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. An important part of the community's heritage, it is still used today.
