Welcome to our Church!
Martin Luther King Day March
MLK DAY March ~ Sevierville, Tn. ~ Jan. 20, 2014
We would like to invite you to come and worship the Lord with us. We are a church founded on the Holy Word of God. We believe everything that is written in the Holy Scriptures are the inspired words of God, and that the Bible is true, nothing added, nothing taken away.
We strive to see souls saved and lives changed thru our Lord Jesus Christ. It is not about us, but about Him. If you are not saved we would like to introduce you to Jesus Christ.
If you feel right now the desire to be saved, then
pray the sinner's prayer.
" Lord, I realize I am A sinner. Unless I repent, I am a lost soul. Lord, I ask you to forgive me of my sins and cleanse me through your shed blood on Calvary. Create in me a new heart and a new life in you. I am sincere and humble as I ask forgiveness. I believe you died for me, and by faith, I believe and accept that I am saved. In Jesus' name, Amen."
If you sincerely prayed this prayer, get into the Word of God, and the wisdom and knowledge you need to continue your walk with God will be made known to you. Find a Bible believing church to have fellowship with. You are more than welcome at Boyds Creek Church of God where "our door always swings on welcome hinges."

Isaac Dockery, an African-American artisan, along with African-American families of Sevierville, built New Salem Baptist Church in 1886. It is Sevierville's oldest surviving building and the county's oldest brick church and only historic African-American church. Built as an Union Church for African-American congregations of all religious beliefs, its name was changed in 1897, when it became New Salem Baptist Church. On July 24, 2003, the church was listed in the National Register of Historic Places. An important part of the community's 19th century heritage, it is still used today. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

SOME HISTORY: Boyds Creek Church of God is located less than one mile off Boyds Creek Hwy. on Cedar Springs Valley Rd. Boyds Creek Highway is acessable from either Chapman Highway or Highway 66. This part of Sevier County is the richest in history of all the county. It was the area of several wars as our great country was going thru the birthing pains. There are also some old plantation houses still standing.
Boyds Creek Church of God In the past, our church was an almost exclusive African-American church. Today, we are a multi-racial, multi-cultural, multi-ethnic church. As our Pastor quotes so often, "Out of one blood were the nations of the earth established." And from the one shed blood of Jesus Christ, we all are saved. We are a church that first and foremost love God.
We believe showing love is the first step to showing someone God, because God is love. Come fellowship and worship with us at Boyds Creek and experience God's love in action.
