"And walk in love as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor." Ephesians 5:2

Scripture for the times: Ephesians 6:11~"Put on the whole armor of God,

that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."

Luke 18:1~ "And he spake a parable unto this end, that men ought always to pray and faint not."

The thought for the day We must remember what David did with one smooth stone.

He slew the giant Goliath who was the enemy of God's people.

We know it was the power of God behind the stone that David put in his sling.

It was David's devotion and love towards God.

It was his act of obedience when God told him to pick up 5 smooth stones.

Why do you suppose God instructed David to pick up 5 stones,

when God knew it would only take one?

Well, an act of obedience on David's part,

but also we can assume the other stones were for Goliath's brothers.

God is not going to leave us unequipped for battle.

For the battle is the Lord's. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart

and lean not to thine own understanding. What battle can you fight with one smooth stone?

Remember it does not take but one smooth stone to kill a giant.

Sometimes we try to pick up the biggest rock we can find to hit our giants with.

Try as we might we can't throw it as far as we can a small,

smooth stone, the one God instructs us to use in the first place.

God is saying to us..... "Be still and know that I am God."

Don't try to face your enemy without your Shield of Faith!

If you do, the fiery darts of the enemy will find their target.

Put on the WHOLE armor of God.

"Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day."

Psalm 91: 5

"Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is." Ephesians 5:17
